Advanced Therapies You Won't Find at Most Clinics

Most GP clinics offer standard dressings only. BeHealth Clinic provides access to advanced wound care therapies that have been shown in published research to accelerate healing — especially for wounds that have stalled.

Our published clinical study (Wounds APAC, 2025) showed complete closure in 10 patients with chronic diabetic, venous, and pressure wounds within 28–118 days using these therapies.

  • CACIPLIQ20® matrix therapy — restores tissue in stalled chronic wounds
  • Photobiomodulation — blue light therapy as a healing adjunct
  • SCX antimicrobial dressings — for infected and high-risk wounds
  • Photographic tracking — every wound documented for progress monitoring
  • Home visits available — for patients who cannot travel to the clinic

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions. If yours isn't here, just send us a message below.

How long does a typical wound take to heal?

Healing time depends on wound type, your overall health, and how quickly treatment begins. Most acute wounds close within 2–4 weeks. Chronic wounds may take 6–16 weeks. Our published study showed average closure in 28–118 days for previously non-healing chronic wounds.

Is wound care covered by insurance?

Many panel insurers cover wound care consultations and dressing materials. Coverage depends on your specific policy. We provide official receipts and documentation for all claims. Please confirm with your insurer before visiting.

Do I need a referral from another doctor?

No referral is needed. You can walk in or book directly via WhatsApp. If you're coming from another clinic or hospital, bringing previous notes or photos helps but isn't required.

What if my wound is not healing?

Wounds that haven't shown improvement after 2 weeks of standard care are considered chronic and benefit from specialist assessment. We use a structured approach to identify what's blocking healing — circulation, infection, pressure, nutrition, or underlying disease — and address each factor.

Are diabetic foot ulcers serious?

Yes. Diabetic foot ulcers can lead to infection, hospitalisation, or amputation if left untreated. Early specialist care dramatically improves outcomes. If you have diabetes and notice any wound on your feet, please come in within 1–2 days.

Do you offer home wound care visits?

Yes. For patients who cannot travel — typically elderly, bedridden, or recently post-surgical — we offer home visits in Bandar Utama and surrounding areas. See our Home Visit page for details.
