Quality Care, Because We Care — A vision to transform Malaysian primary care since 2022.
BeHealth Clinic was born from Dr. Zafrina Binti Burukan's vision to pioneer a fundamentally different model of GP healthcare — one where every clinical decision is outcome-oriented, justified, and made in full partnership with the patient.
During her Master's in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Dr. Zafrina's thesis on vaccination behaviour revealed a critical gap — many patients are unaware of the importance of medications and vaccinations they receive, due to a lack of clear information and communication from healthcare professionals.
In October 2021, Dr. Zafrina decided to establish her own GP clinic network with a clear focus: to educate patients through good communication and prioritise patient health above all else. The clinic's motto, "Because We Care," reflects this commitment to patient-centred care.
The first branch of BeHealth CLINIC opened at Oasis BU11 Complex in June 2022, after receiving approval from the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Today, we serve thousands of patients across Bandar Utama and the wider Klang Valley.
Singapore has led value-based care for years. Malaysia is catching up. BeHealth Clinic is building this future today — guided by ICHOM principles and Dr. Zafrina's Harvard-trained leadership.
Necessary, evidence-based interventions. No unnecessary tests, no over-treatment.
Treatment in the appropriate place — clinic, home, or referred when needed.
No unnecessary delays. No premature interventions. Care when it matters most.
Cost does not equal quality. We measure value by your outcome — not by procedures done.
To provide holistic, patient-centred healthcare with a focus on prevention, education, and compassionate treatment — ensuring every patient receives the best care in a comfortable and supportive environment.
To be a leading healthcare provider recognised for excellence, innovation, and patient empowerment — transforming the way healthcare is delivered through clear communication, advanced medical care, and a commitment to well-being.
To provide evidence-based, patient-centred care by emphasising clear communication between doctor and patient — providing detailed explanations that prioritise patient understanding and empowerment.
After graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) with Honours in 2009, Dr. Zafrina completed her internship at one of the leading hospitals in Dublin, Ireland. She is fully registered with the Irish Medical Council.
Returning to Malaysia, she worked at GHKL and Klinik Kesihatan, before pursuing further training with the Royal College of Physicians Ireland at a leading Dublin hospital. There, she rotated through Neurology, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, A&E, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Microbiology, and Medicine for the Elderly — discovering her interest in Neurology, particularly migraine management, while working at the National Referral Centre of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was offered the opportunity to pursue a Master in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine — ranked the third-best university globally for Public Health. Her thesis on vaccination behaviour led directly to BeHealth Clinic's founding philosophy.
Dr. Zafrina then completed the Leadership in Medicine programme at Harvard Medical School, graduating with Distinction and being awarded First Place and Best Project for her wound care management proposal. She continues to actively conduct research and present at national and international conferences on complex wound care.
Our commitment to excellence is reflected in international and national awards earned for patient care, clinical innovation, and leadership in medicine.
